Where can I retrieve my VISA details?
All non-Australian citizens (including permanent residents) have an electronic visa record.
You can access your visa details online or by calling the Department of Home Affairs on 131 881.
To check online:
- Select the document your visa is linked to
- Enter your details and submit
Note: If you arrived in Australia before 1990 and haven’t left since, you may not have an electronic visa record. In this case, you may need to apply for one before completing your police check.
