I’m a New Zealander, how do I complete my application?

The steps below demonstrate how to complete the application process if you’re an NZ citizen. 

Step 1: You will first need to click on “No” to the question asking if you're an Australian citizen. 

Step 2: You can select Australia Visa/VEVO document (or NZ Passport). This is because, when you entered Australia, a VISA was automatically assigned to the passport you last entered/exited Australia with. You can still upload your NZ passport as a commencement document even if it expired. 

There are some circumstances where we are not able to verify your VISA details:

• You are a NZ citizen and have currently travelled outside of Australia (ie you are currently outside of the country)
• You have provided your new NZ passport and your VISA details are attached to your old NZ passport 

In these circumstances you will need to wait until you re-enter Australia to complete your check, or provide us with your old NZ passport which your VISA is attached to.

Step 3: You can select your NZ Passport for the primary document, provided it has not expired.
