Can I use a National Police Check if it's required for work overseas?

We recommend confirming with your employer what type of check you require, as some employers may accept a National Police Check (NPC) or may prefer an Australian Federal Police Check (AFP).

If a Federal Police (AFP) Check is required, you can complete your application with the Australian Federal Police here.

If you want to proceed with completing a national police check with us for work overseas, you can list the city and country in the “Town/City'' section and “Overseas - Not Australia” in the “State/Territory section” as seen in the picture below.
