How long does the manual review process take?
Of all checks submitted across Australia (regardless of provider) approximately 30% are referred for a manual review. Approximately 80% of these referred checks are returned within 15 business days, however some may take longer than this, and many are returned much sooner than this timeframe.
Manual review estimates are based on information provided to Checked from the Federal Government and State Police Agencies.
Business days are calculated from the day after the check has been submitted to the Government for processing.
Even though we are unable to provide an exact time frame for your results to be released, our system checks for updates on the status of your check every 5 seconds to ensure we send you your results as soon as they are available.
