I’ve recevied my check certificate, but I need to change the purpose listed on the police check.

The purpose listed on your application, which consists of your role, company/industry and location of work, is a pivotal component of the application. This is because it affects the level and type of disclosure applied to any court outcomes applicable to the check. As a result, the purpose cannot be changed after the check has been completed and the results are returned by the relevant police agencies.
