What should my purpose be if I’m a student applying for a police check?

If you’re a student applying for a police check for placement or enrolment purposes, you can complete a volunteer police check. If you are unsure about whether you will have contact with vulnerable groups, we recommend selecting the “unsupervised” option.

The purpose of your police check it must include the following details: 

• Course of study 
• Purpose of check (Course enrolment or placement)
• Name of your educational institution

Note: If you’re completing a volunteer student police check for Flinders University, your police check purpose must be filled out as listed below as Flinders University will only accept police checks with this purpose:
