Can I complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) if I’m under the age of 18?

To complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) you have to be over the age of 14.


If the applicant is under the age of 18 a parent or legal guardian will have to provide their signature as consent for the check being actioned.


For applicants between the ages of 14-18, you can upload your student ID card as a proof of age card if you do not have any of the primary ID documents from the list below:

  • Australian drivers licence
  • Australian marriage certificate
  • International passport
  • Proof of age
  • Australian passport
  • Australian Citizenship Certificate
  • Australian birth certificate
