How long does it take to process a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)?

Standard checks take 1-2 business days to be processed by us, assuming your application is not flagged for a manual review.

If you require your check urgently, you can choose the Express Service when completing your application. This means we will ensure your check is processed by our team and submitted to the Government for review within 1 business hour of receiving your completed submission.

Once submitted to the Government, your application will then be reviewed by the relevant Police Agencies and your results returned to you via email. If your application requires manual review, the time for a manual review is between 1 to 15 business days, though your results may be back sooner or later than this.
