When will my Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) expire?

Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks (NCCHC) do not have an expiration date as they are considered a "point in time" check, displaying any disclosable court outcomes or pending charges at the time of issue.

Changes made after the date of issue will not be reflected on your certificate and you will need to apply for a new check to demonstrate any updates.

As different employers will have different requirements, you may be required to renew your check in line with your employers policy or when starting a new role, even if your check was only completed recently.

If you need to start a new check, you can do so here.

Note: We recommend saving your check as we are not able to reissue a copy of your certificate if it has been longer than 3 months since the date of issue.
