I don’t have the required ID documents because of a extenuating circumstance, what can I do?

In order to meet the minimum ID requirements and complete your application, you may need to renew or obtain relevant documentation.

There are some situations where an applicant may find it difficult to obtain the necessary documentation, and in those cases you may be eligible for special considerations.

Situations that may warrant special consideration include applicants: ƒ

  • Whose birth was not registeredƒ
  • Who are homeless
  • Who are undocumented, or recent arrivals to Australiaƒ
  • Who live in remote areas ƒ
  • Who are transgender or intersex ƒ
  • Who are affected by natural disastersƒ
  • With limited access to identity documents for reasons associated with how they were raised, their ability to participate in society, or due to their ageƒ

If any of these special circumstances apply to you and are stopping you from completing the ID requirements, then you can email us at support@checked.com.au requesting for a review of the circumstances and the reason why. We will however need to ask further questions, for example proof of why you cannot supply the required documentation. If we are approved by the government to proceed with your application under Special Provisions, we will provide further details on what is required to satisfy this requirement.
